Redesign

The first element represents origin, formed by “ollin” which means origin in Aztec language. Since the museum is located in Mexico City and it was here where the Aztec empire was founded and is a fundamental part of the history of Mexico. The second element represents life conformed by a cactus growing which is found in the Mexican flag and was also an indispensable element for the Aztec empire. The third element represents evolution made up of the solar system and the planets around it.

Why redesign

The goal was to create a logo that would be relevant and attractive to the public, especially to young people. The logo communicates the essence of the museum, such as its interest in natural history, environmental conservation and at the same time representing the Aztec culture. A fresh and dynamic design that would attract new visitors and encourage interest in the museum.
